Apple releases iOS 5.0.1 Beta 2.
Following the issues with the battery life of the new iPhone, Apple released a new version of the iOS 5, the iOS 5.0.1 Beta 1. This release has been considered as a remedy to all the issues popping up with the new iPhone like the reduced battery life, multitasking issues and the smart cover security flaw.
Apple today gave a boost to its developer community by introducing yet another release called the iOS 5.0.1 Beta 2 software build 9A404. The previous beta release had a built number of 9A402. The update is now available for easy download on the Dev Center. It can also be installed from devices that have iOS5.0.1 installed in it. iOS 5.0.1 is a completely new method for the developers to store files on the device during the low storage conditions.
Currently developers are facing a bit of issues regarding the download of standalone iOS 5.0.1. Beta 2 build from the Dev Center. Access denied errors are the common ones that are troubling the users. But the registered developers can apply for an update directly on the devices that run iOS 5.0.1 Beta 1 by going to the settings app, tapping on the general option and then software update.
